When cookery students reach the school,
They very soon are taught the rules,
Oh yes, they surely learn their stuff.
And when they're finished with their classes,
What do they do with most of their loot (and junk)
And does it end up in the bin or not?
The answer's this:
They cling to most of the non-perishables:
Relish and chutney and butter and jam,
Salad and ketchup and red and white wine.
Arses (or arks) full of sweets and crisps and cakes.
They wrap up the edible bits and the drink.
They pop them into the nearest microwave.
And if any of the confection they shrink,
They just push as they're told
At each go they select as per the instructions
Three minutes at seven hundred and sixty blah blah
And then they tug the door
And that's all there is -
Until next time when they learn to cook again...
